LITTLE AUK

Stayed in yesterday as i waited for my camera to arrive back after being repaired,so i was chomping at the bit to get out to give the camera a good going over, headed to recuvler for first light bit of a waste black red and med gull best i could do,so headed to hampton via picking up some bread for the gulls, feeding the gulls single common and plenty of black heads

walking back i bumped into john tilbrook and co.quick chat and wander added rock pipit,so i head off to the beach and saw a black bird bobbing about so i called razorbill, then i lifted my bins up fxxxing hell a little auk great bird at anytime,so i ran back to my car to get my phone to put the news out headed back and the bird had gone so a quick scan and pick it up a long way out, with this i head off to get my scope and john was heading off,i turned around and the little auk was right next to the pier giving cracking views so we heading on to the pier we where only feet away

These are strange looking birds - I wonder why so many species that survive in these types of habits are black and white?
