With news of a short eared owl close to home at seasalter found by mike gould on sunday and me being miles away on the island,so i had to wait until monday evening so a sit and wait job the bird come out of roost at 5.05pm with the light being poor a few shots taken
so with me having a half day on tuesday i hatched a plan,as you all well know does not go to plan so i laid in the grass by the dyke for over a hour with no sign, then it appeared flying low in front of me giving stunning views in a gloomy evening
at one stage it flew over my head and inches away,it was hunting for 20 minutes or so then dropped from view

Nice set of shots Mark. I have not been lucky enough to see one hunting this year.
