ICE STATION NUTHATCH

With the windy howling along the seafront this morning and a few specks of snow falling,i braved the elements and frozen but i did bag a grey plover flying along the beach

i am so lucky to live at a place with sea just down the road and woods along the road so after popping home to warm up i headed to the woods armed with my peanuts, after i just arrive i was soon greeted by a robin

after spending some time walking around and seeing just a few blue tits i found a nice clear arrive with clean snow and  a small snow covered log after placing a few peanuts i was soon being graced by two nuthatches
are they realised i was feeding it was a very quick 20 or so minutes feeding time before they just vanised on full stomachs

a few coal and blue tits had a feed as well

You were brave out in weather like that. I hope you took some seed for the birds so they would would not starve.
