QUICK SESSION

A few hours spent fluff chucking on brooke lake this afternoon,a hour in not a fish on the bank lost two down to me being a twat and not keeping the line tight

i ended up catching this sizable fish quickly followered by a small mirror and a couple smaller ones, hopefully this time next week can get back on the river, its ok fishing for carp but can get boring as they are so easy to catch

Mark, these "carp puddle" fish are a piece of piss to catch because they're bloody starving! Sure, they've grown a little cautious about certain bait presentations, but bottom line they're easy. What really winds me up is the number of C&DAA members who are unable to abide by the simple fishery rules. There is absolutely no need for 3 lbs t/c rods and "Big Pit" reel set-ups, let alone barbed/micro-barbed hooks, yet that is the crap I encounter at this wonderful little venue. As a new member I don't feel qualified to start asking questions of these guys? I've probably taken in excess of seventy carp from Jade & Brook Lakes since pulling my ham-string. Every one on a size 10/12 hook, 5 lbs b.s. line and a split cane rod. Fun fishing at it's very best.
We will cross paths soon, as I'm fit enough to get back down the river.
Take care & tight lines - Dyl
